안녕하세요. 경기외국어고등학교 국제부입니다.

지난 '2026 Korea Interscholastic Debating Championship'에서 본교 1학년 임류준(1315), 전혜빈(1317), 강시온(1501) 학생이 Meritorious Team'을 수상했습니다.
본교 창의적 체험활동 동아리 소속인 세 학생은 자발적으로 팀을 구성해 대회에 참가했습니다.
한 달 동안 주 2회씩 꾸준히 연습하며 대회를 준비했으며, 팀원 대부분이 토론 대회에 처음 출전했음에도 2승 1패라는 우수한 성적을 거두어 뛰어난 역량과 가능성을 인정받았습니다.

본 대회는 용인한국외국어대학교부설고등학교가 주최한 영어 토론 대회로, 참가 학생들은 논리적 사고력과 영어 의사소통 능력, 협업 역량을 바탕으로 열띤 토론을 펼쳤습니다.
이번 수상은 학생들의 자발적인 도전과 노력, 선생님들의 세심한 지도가 함께 만들어 낸 소중한 결실입니다.

Greetings from the International Affairs Department of Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages.

At the 2026 Korea Interscholastic Debating Championship, three of our first-year students—Ryu-jun Lim (1315), Hye-bin Jeon (1317), and Si-on Kang (1501)—received the Meritorious Team Award.
The three students, who are members of a school club, independently formed a team and prepared for the competition by practicing twice a week for a month.
Although most of the team members were participating in a debate competition for the first time, they achieved an impressive record of two wins and one loss, demonstrating their strong debating skills and potential.

Hosted by Hankuk Academy of Foreign Studies, the competition brought together students who engaged in spirited English debates, demonstrating their logical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
This meaningful achievement was made possible through the students’ initiative and dedication, along with the thoughtful guidance of their teachers.

Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages will continue to encourage and support our students as they embrace new challenges, pursue their aspirations, and grow into globally minded individuals.
