GLOBAL EDUCATION COMPANY TO HIRE VICE PRINCIPAL FOR PRIVATE SCHOOL IN KOREA

Daekyo and Eye Level Pose an Exciting Opportunity for Educators Nationwide

Daekyo Co. Ltd, the global educational service provider and Eye Level¡¯s parent company, is currently seeking a Vice Principal to run its world renowned and privately owned high school, Gyeonggi Academy of Foreign Languages (GAFL), in the Gyeonggi Province of Korea.

The GAFL provides two academic paths for students pursuing higher education; one to attend the best schools domestically and the other to study in prestigious universities internationally. In 2012, more than half of the graduating students who applied to top tier U.S. universities were accepted. In the past, GAFL alumni have been accepted to Cornell University, University of Michigan, and the UC Berkeley. As the first Korean International Baccalaureate World School, sustaining high academic standards and tradition is a core value.

The Vice Principal will specialize in guiding students choosing to study abroad, should be an experienced high school educator and display strong leadership ability. The GAFL continues to provide comprehensive education and strives to annually be toward the top of the list in academic excellence.

Background and Experience

1. Responsibilities and Duties of the Vice principal

-Manage advanced educational environment of the school

-Teach and organize IB classes

-Supervise IB teachers

-Conduct regular meetings

-Provide necessary feedback to the IB staff

-Interact with IB teachers, students, and parents on a regular basis

-Recruit and select new IB staff when required

-Conduct training to the IB teachers

-Guide IB teachers of office policies and rules

-Assign work to IB teachers

2. Eligibility

-Fluency in speaking English

-Bachelor¡¯s degree or above from an accredited university

-Minimum 3 years of experience as an IB Coordinator at accredited institution(s) or similar experiences

-Teaching license in home country (preferred)

-Experience in teaching IB subject (preferred)

-Bilingual Speaker (English and Korean) (a plus but not mandatory)

Video interview: July 9 – 10, 2013

∙ In-person interview for those who passed interview: July 16 – July 17, 2013

-Work Start Date: September 1, 2013 (Contract Term: minimum of 1 year)

6. Compensation

Salary: Varies upon experience

Benefits: Includes health insurance

Others: Provides flight to/from Korea (including during the interview process), housing, settlement allowance, raise of salary upon contract renewal
