Legendary South Korean boy band BIGBANG greeted its 10 year anniversary by hosting a concert, ‘BIGBANG THE CONCERT 0.TO.10’. The concert was held in the Seoul World Cup Sangam stadium, which can hold up to 65 thousand fans. Fans from all over the world visited Korea to enjoy the concert for two hours and thirty minutes despite the excessively humid weather. A large number of people are praising the concert via SNS and the Internet while others are expressing their discontent.
1) Ultra-Luxurious Stage Settings
The stage settings were complimented by all. Not only fans from the first floor but also the second and third floor could enjoy themselves to their heart’s content thanks to a variety of ultra-luxurious stage settings (which were composed of ten delay speakers, four broadcasting vans, and thirty cameras) that helped the watchers view the concert as though BigBang was singing right in front of them.
2) The Guest Star
Korean pop sensation PSY made an appearance and pumped up the atmosphere of the concert by singing his hit songs ‘Gangnam Style’ and ‘Champion’. His appearance was also a main component of the concert about which fans raved.
3) The Scorching Heat
The fact that the performance was held outside under the scorching heat caused a number of fans to pass out due to dehydration, which worried the members of BIGBANG enough to make them stress the importance of safety several times. The heat caused many to criticize the concert, stressing that there was not enough thought put into preparation.
4) Two Hours and Thirty Minutes
The concert started 15 minutes late due to the overflow of fans in the stadium. Although BIGBANG performed 22 songs in the overall time of two hours and thirty minutes in the concert, fans still were not satisfied. Many felt that the time had felt overly short considering that the concert was for BIGBANG’s 10th anniversary.
